Tahereh Samadi
Tahereh Samadi Tari, born in 1982 in Iran, is a contemporary painter known for her dynamic and expressive artworks. She began her artistic studies at the Tehran Girls' Academy of Visual Arts before continuing her education at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, where she specialized in painting. She later earned a master’s degree in painting from the University of Art.
Samadi Tari’s work is characterized by movement and fluidity, often depicting humans, water, light, and urban elements in motion. Her paintings create a sense of suspension and contradiction, blending classical perspective with imaginative distortions. She frequently uses bright and pure colors, reflecting the vibrancy of modern urban spaces.
Her first solo exhibition was held in 2007 at Dey Gallery in Tehran, and she has since showcased her work internationally, including in America, Qatar, Switzerland, and England. Some of her notable exhibitions include Whispers of Secrets, Whispers of Dreams (2008) and Shahrzad’s Masks (2009).
