Manouchehr Niazi (born 1936 in Tabriz, Iran) is a distinguished Iranian painter whose works blend traditional and modern artistic elements. He began learning painting at the age of sixteen under renowned Iranian artists such as Ali-Asghar Petgar, Hossein Sheikh, Mahmoud Oliyaei, and Ahmad Esfandiari. He later studied at Kamal-ol-Molk Art School, where he refined his skills and developed his unique artistic vision.

Niazi’s career spans over six decades, during which he has participated in more than 170 group exhibitions and 84 solo exhibitions worldwide. His works have been displayed in prestigious galleries and museums in Paris, London, New York, California, Florida, and Sydney. His paintings are also part of private collections owned by public figures and celebrities.

One of the defining characteristics of Niazi’s art is his deep connection to classical music. As a young man, he studied opera and performed as a baritone under the guidance of Evelyn Baghcheban and Fakhereh Saba. His paintings often reflect the influence of composers such as Beethoven, Verdi, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Puccini, Bach, and Mozart. This synesthetic approach to art has made his works a subject of study in cognitive sciences.

In the second phase of his career, Niazi moved to the United States, where he held exhibitions in top galleries, including The Beverly Wilshire Gallery in Beverly Hills and The International Gallery in Florida. During his 23 years in America, he created significant works that explored themes of human conflict, nature, and modern existential dilemmas. His paintings, predominantly in oil, are known for their expressive compositions and symbolic depth.
